Borders Act for Change: Jedburgh Out of School Club
It was great to hear how JOSC had got on with their Act for Change project. They had pledged to do a tidy up around Jedburgh and also spend some time working on the school garden. Here is what they had to say!
“We planted two flower beds with wildflowers at Jedburgh Grammar Campus to attract bees, bugs and butterflies while also brightening up our flower beds with lovely looking flowers for the children to admire. We also used littler pickers and went litter picking around the town. Within the time frame of an hour, we collected 2 black bags full of litter that had been thrown on the ground which hasn’t just made a difference of the look of the town by tidying it up it has also helped the environment by disposing of it properly. The age ranges the project benefitted was from 5-10 years old. Our next steps are to keep our flower beds thriving to keep the wildlife attracted to them and go on further litter picks around the town to tidy it up more while also helping the environment.”
Well done team - what a positive impact to have on your home town!
